With the upcoming game, lets focus on what’s really most important about Superbowl parties, the food! Here is one of my favorite football foods, mini meatball heroes.

Ingredients

1 ¼ of meatloaf mix

2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

1 egg

½ cup Italian breadcrumbs

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves of minced garlic

salt and pepper

hot dog rolls

the red sauce/marinara of your choice

fresh mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees

In a large bowl combine the meat, Worcestershire, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, Parmesan, salt and pepper. I highly suggest using your hands to make sure that the ingredients are fully incorporated. But make sure not to over work the mixture or the meat will be tough.

Grease a baking sheet or use a silicone pad. Roll the meatball mixture into 1½ inch balls and place onto the baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the centers are no longer pink.

You can serve the mini heroes in 2 ways. In a slowcooker add the cooked meatballs and sauce and allow guests to assemble their own hero on a hotdog bun and add cheese if so desired. OR Put about 3 meatballs on a roll and top with sauce and mozzarella. Place all of the heroes onto a baking sheet, use some aluminum on the sides to stop them from falling over. Put your oven on a high broil and let the mozzarella get brown and bubbly on top. Serve and enjoy!
