This Upper East Side spot just started serving brunch and what could possibly be better than runny eggs, cocktails and pizza on a weekend morning? Pizza Beach is the perfect spot to embrace the warmer weather. The restaurant is decorated to make you feel as though you are in a retro inspired beachside café.

Drinks at Pizza Beach

Pizza Beach has plenty of fruity summery drinks while you enjoy the warm weather. Some of our favorites were the Sex on the Pizza Beach, Vanilla Colada and the Hibiscus Bellini. Pizza Beach also has some great fresh juices if you’re trying to detox a little, the red juice is so delicious, filled with beets, carrots, apples, ginger and lemon, perfectly refreshing!

Consider getting some fruit and veggies in your diet early with the Sunshine Salad or their Ruby Red Grapefruit. The Sunshine salad is a tomato salad with red onion, fresh basil and an irresistible honey apple cider vinaigrette. Their grapefruit is topped with bee pollen, which gives it a unique flavor and crunch.

Forget overpriced single slices of avocado toast, the avocado focaccia is enough to share and with the addition of lemon zest and sriracha, this is some toast you won’t forget.

Pizza at Pizza Beach

We tried out two of the wood fire oven cooked pizzas, one Pancetta and Egg and one Mushroom and Stracciatella on a gluten free crust. Both pizzas were delicious! We were extremely impressed with the gluten free pizza. It didn’t at all remind us of cardboard but instead it tasted like, wait for it, PIZZA! This may sound silly but it really is an accomplishment to make gluten free pizza that is this good!

Another hit of the brunch was the Hangover Helper pasta. The dish consists of al dente bucatini pasta in a cream sauce with pancetta and all topped with a poached egg! Get your bacon, egg and cheese in pasta form!
