More than 50 Lower Manhattan restaurants and small businesses are setting up on Piers 16 and 17 on September 26. One ticket gets you six tastes, so choose wisely.

Taste of the Seaport is back for another afternoon of food, drinks, live music, and waterfront views. The festival runs from noon to 4 p.m. in the South Street Seaport.

How It Works

A standard Taste Card costs $70 and includes six tastes from participating restaurants.

That means this is not an unlimited tasting event. You get six punches, each good for one bite. Check the restaurant list before arriving, choose a few priorities, then save a couple of punches for whatever smells best on the pier.

VIP admission costs $125 and includes six tastes, three drinks, chef demonstrations, a dedicated bar, complimentary bites, and access to special raffles.

Who’s Serving

The restaurant lineup brings together newer openings and longtime downtown favorites.

Look for Carne Mare, Le Gratin, The Fulton, Sadie’s, Old Mates Pub, Willett’s, and Cowgirl Seahorse, plus dozens of other Seaport and Financial District businesses.

Six tastes suddenly feels a little aggressive.

Food for a Local Cause

Taste of the Seaport is the primary annual fundraiser for Peck Slip School (PS 343) and Spruce Street School (PS 397).

Proceeds support school supplies, teacher resources, professional development, and enrichment programs for students in Lower Manhattan. It is a neighborhood food festival that puts the money back into the neighborhood.
